Like all concrete constructions, elevator shafts and pits can suffer decay and degradation over time. This can result in water entry into the bottom of the shaft which can damage the elevator equipment mounted there requiring expensive repairs.
We’ll inspect your elevator shaft and we have the pumps and equipment to remove groundwater and to repair and seal the pit and shaft to prevent further ingress.
To repair the shaft, we use a two-part polyurethane grout especially used to stop high flow infiltration. Despite the tight working area and demanding environment, we have perfected an injection method that creates a curtain of grout on the walls of the underground structure and an impervious floor by injecting grout through ports that are drilled into the floor of the pit.
